The 2025 Australian fresh truffle season is coming to an early close. This year, the season was notably affected by shifting weather patterns and the growing impact of climate change, resulting in a much shorter harvest than usual.


As we enter the final days of fresh truffle availability, we invite you to take a moment to look back with us — and explore the highlights, insights, and memorable moments from this unique season.

One of the most anticipated moments of the year, our Truffle Extravaganza brought the rich aroma and earthy elegance of fresh truffles to life at the iconic Fremantle Markets.

For one weekend only, we showcased our freshly harvested Australian black truffles alongside our full range of truffle products — from butter and salt to oil and honey. But the real magic happened when Fremantle’s market stalls joined the celebration, creating exclusive, truffle-infused dishes just for the event.



A Magical Weekend at Fremantle Markets


The atmosphere at the Fremantle Markets was nothing short of magical. The aroma of fresh truffle filled the air, and the energy was infectious as visitors explored, tasted, and celebrated all things truffle. With over 50,000 people attending across the weekend, the Truffle Extravaganza became a true winter highlight — bringing together food lovers, chefs, and curious newcomers in one unforgettable celebration.

Great Southern Truffles and Fremantle Markets Stalls Collaborated to Create Wonderful Truffle Dishes


To bring the Truffle Extravaganza to life, Great Southern Truffles partnered with some of Fremantle Markets’ most creative stalls to craft exclusive dishes starring fresh Australian truffles.

Next up is Chef Marvin, who wowed the crowd with his mouthwatering Truffle Cheese Steak Sandwich — a perfect fusion of comfort food and gourmet indulgence. The dish was such a hit during the Truffle Extravaganza that he’s decided to keep it on the menu all year round!

We also stopped by Acropolis Souvlaki, who left us absolutely craving more with their show-stopping dish: Crispy chips with truffle oil, goat’s feta, and freshly shaved truffle.
