Ingredients:


  • Thin and crispy pizza dough (artisan or long-fermented)

  • Light white sauce (béchamel or crème fraîche), or no sauce for a “pizza bianca” style

  • Mixed sautéed mushrooms (shiitake, portobello, cremini, etc.)

  • Cheese: buffalo mozzarella + parmesan or fontina

  • Truffle Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Great Southern Truffles

  • Fresh black truffle shavings (optional, for garnish)

  • Arugula or microgreens (optional)

  • Flaky sea salt


Optional:

  • One egg with a soft yolk, baked on top for extra richness


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to the highest temperature possible (450–500°F / 230–260°C) with a pizza stone inside if you have one.

  2. Roll out the pizza dough thinly on a floured surface.

  3. Spread a thin layer of white sauce or leave the dough bare for pizza bianca style.

  4. Evenly distribute the sautéed mushrooms over the dough.

  5. Tear the buffalo mozzarella and scatter it on top, then sprinkle with parmesan or fontina cheese.

  6. Bake the pizza on the preheated stone or baking tray for 8–12 minutes, until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.

  7. (Optional) In the last few minutes of baking, carefully crack an egg in the center and bake until the white is set but yolk is still soft.

  8. Remove the pizza from the oven and drizzle lightly with truffle oil.

  9. Garnish with fresh black truffle shavings, arugula or microgreens, and a pinch of flaky sea salt.

  10. Slice and serve immediately.

  11. Slice, serve, and... snap a photo!
