This year, The Future of Food conference took place in the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on 23 and 24 September. The event was incredible and of great value for all who attended. The take away was a broader understanding of how diverse stakeholders in the agri-food sector can play a vital role in developing a progressive local food industry.
The Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development (DPIRD) and Southern DIRT WA did an amazing job presenting the conference. Needless to say, all the workshops, exhibitions and panels wouldn’t happen without the support of the many professional speakers, sharing their skills, knowledge and experience.
The conference gave us another opportunity to get a broader understanding of relevant topics such as conscious consumers, the recent research in food for health, latest technologies and retail & trade.
Adam Wilson, Managing Director at Great Southern Truffles, one of the panel speakers on food marketing, discussed how the business has been impacted by COVID-19 restrictions as well as how food marketing trends will impact the company sells.
