Whole Black Winter Truffle 20g
Whole Black winter truffle, tuber melanosporum, is a luxurious garnish. The truffle has a thickish black skin and is dark in colour on the inside. Shave thinly to create a stunning, delicate finishing touch with hints of earthy flavours.
As fresh Black Winter Truffles are only available between June - September, during the fresh truffle season, we make sure some of our fresh Black Winter truffles are jarred as soon as they have been hunted and graded, they are preserved so that they can be made available outside the fresh truffle season. Preserved truffle doesn't have the same aroma as fresh truffle so we recommend you use it in conjunction with our other truffle products. For example, for enhanced flavour, use shavings/slices of black winter truffle with our truffle oil or black truffle sauce.
- SLICE or DICE a garnish to enhance your favourite dish.
- CHOP or SLICE them into a veloute or butter-based sauce.
- MINCE or PUREE and add to pasta, risotto, omelettes or mashed potatoes.
- Let them steep in olive oil and use for any preparation.
